The Apostle Paul, writing to the believers in the first century church of Corinth lays out the ultimate challenge, and it's a life of death proposition...

"Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men." (1 Cor. 1:20-25)

Good Friday Evening a Simple & Service @ 7:30pm

Remembering Christ's Cross, we'll follow in Christ's footsteps as he moves toward His God given destiny, the greatest implement of death ever designed, the cross.  We'll sit with Christ as He eats with his closest friends; listen to His pleading with Father to, "Take this cup from me;" is betrayed by the kiss of a close friend, arrested, faces multiple sham trials, is condemned, flogged, and spiked to a Roman implement of death, the cross.

Will you invite the reality of Christ's cross to trip you up, and awaken you to the desperate need you and I have for this implement of death, and the salvation it makes available to wretches like us?
