Bible-Flag-Cross

With the southeastern states of our country ravaged by Helene and Milton; our people divided by devisive-manipulative-self-seeking leaders nationally and locally; our cities, schools, churches and morals in severe decline; we are certainly NOT on the way UP!

"Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted," (NIV, Matthew 23:11)

“The Way Up, is Down,” a phrase one of my favorite pastors, Derrick Prince, used to describe the act of “Humbling Yourself,” a living in the awareness that you are not, the end all be all; the "all that and a bag of chips."  There is a term that's most often used in religious circles, "Repentence," that describes the BEST response in times of great peril, such as ours.

Repentance, is expressed by you’re proximity to the Light, it exposes your darkness and demands you’re turning from darkness to the ONLY saving light, GOD!

"This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there’s not a trace of darkness in him.  If we claim that we experience a shared life with him and continue to stumble around in the dark, we’re obviously lying through our teeth—we’re not living what we claim. But if we walk in the light, God himself being the light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purges all our sin," (1 John 1:5-7).

If you, or I refuse the Light, we remain in darkness and our consequence is judgement or curse; because we have rejected the Light (Wisdom) and Blessing (Provision/Benefits) of God and instead have clung to ourselves and our own capablities and means, which are inherently, absent of God's direct influence, DARK!

Over the next several weeks join me and seek God's face, with repentant hearts, aimed at God pleading with Him to MOVE on our hearts, in our lives, and on behalf of our nation.  Let's fast & pray, humbling ourselves, asking He lift us up.
