God's Ridiculous Grace just oozes out of every verse regarding the angelic messengers announcement to Mary concerning the birth of the promised King!

First Gabriel, God's chosen angelic messenger, shows up after 400 years of silence to remind His people that He NEVER BACKS OUT ON A PROMISE when Gabriel informs Zechariah his prayers for a son were about to be answered...God Is for YOU!  Then Gabriel tells Zechariah that he needs to name his son John, meaning "The Lord is Gracious," God is for YOU!

Next, Gabriel shows up in a small, backwoods town of nobodies, to announce to Mary she is "highly favored," the root of this term is also Grace...God is for YOU!  Then as if to emphasize his point Gabriel says, "The Lord is with you."  Blown away by this angel showing up out of NO WHERE, Mary's mind is left reeling, she logically looks to process what she is experiencing.  Gabriel seeing her confusion and struggle with this awe-inspiring encounter calms declaring she need not fear him, then again utters, "You have found favor with God," again...grace drips of the lips of Gabriel...God is for YOU!

Mary after discovering she will give birth to the God Promised King, spoken of by prophets of old, asks, "How will this be, since I'm a virgin?"  Isaiah, a liaison of God, a prophet that lived nearly 800 years before this divine encounter already answered Mary's question, "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign:  The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel," meaning God with us, again grace,...God is for YOU!

Zechariah and Elizabeth's son, John, would serve as proof to Mary that what Gabriel is saying will come to pass.  "For nothing is impossible with God," or NO WORD FROM GOD WILL EVER FAIL!  What God promises He delivers, Elizabeth recognizing God's grace asks, "Why am I so favored?"

That's a question I ask myself all the time, the answer is simple, God Is For YOU, period!  So how do I become a favored one like Mary, and Elizabeth, what do I have to do to experience that grace?

Elizabeth puts it like this, "Blessed is she who has believed..."  That's the answer, just BELIEVE what God says, "I AM FOR YOU!"
